Today's youth are more diverse than ever, in every way. Many youth workers have large caseloads and these youth and families often have more than one challenge, including mental health issues. Some of our participants have expressed their fear of burnout due to the stress of trying to do the best thing for everyone all the time and it's hard.
YMHFA contains an entire module on self-care for the YMH First Aider. This one-day training will offer some practical tips and skills around how to avoid burnout and "compassion fatigue."

"El programa me ha ayudo mucho y por ejemplo ahora los refiero a mis compañeras de trabajo porque fue un grande impacto para mi. Y estoy tomando mis descansos y planificando mis vacaciones porque para poder ayudar a los jóvenes debemeso estar nosotros en buen estado físico y mental.
